Mural Project

1. What theme could you use here at school to make your own mural that tells a unique Akins story? Be specific. Explain what subjects you will include in your mural.

well we can use art . we can just go to the fine arts building and they have a case where they have all kinds of are stuff on the walls.
2. Why is this theme worth devoting time  and effort to capture? Why would other students care about this theme?

expressing who you are in the public shows who you really re on the in side

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages to using a phone camera to do this project?

the advantages is changing the color and sharpness disadvantage is make is some out clear

4. What are the advantages and disadvantages to using an SLR camera to do this project?

having to take more quickly and most likely to come out more clearer than just changing the color

5. Should we use phones or SLR cameras for this project? Why?

i think we should use the slr cameras because not matter how many time we move on accident its most likely to to come out better and be brighter .

Africa Project

My reaction to the photo's we're excitement because i love animals and especially cheetah's and the giraffes . i like the cheetahs because they are pretty and the giraffes because they look cute and they're tall

This is my favorite because i like how the mom guards her little cubs and the baby cheetahs look so cute

Well this is another one of my favorites because they don't look fool grown they look like baby ones which make them even cuter

The rule he uses is balance because since its in black and white he houses the day time to capture the brightness for the photo but the animals fur is gray or black which makes the back ground look bright and focuses on the animals

Nick Brandt

a.     What kind of camera did he use? Used a Pentax 67ll with only two fixed lens
b.     What is his reason for taking the photos? He likes showing that animals have a big state of being and he like to show they're emotion
c.     What is his hope by taking these types of photos? To him all animals and living creatures are beautiful and  he wanted to express that his photos.

"To me, every creature, human or nonhuman, has an equal right to live, and this feeling, this belief that every animal and I are equal, affects me every time I frame an animal in my camera. The photos are my elegy to these beautiful creatures, to this wrenchingly beautiful world that is steadily, tragically vanishing before our eyes."

Academic Shoot Reflection

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get the photos following the rules I set out for you?
- No one would let me take photos and they would just keep staying and saying not to be taking pictures of them , and it was so complicated.

2. What technical aspects of photography or the assignment in general (focus, framing, holding the camera, etc.) did you find yourself thinking about the most? Provide a specific example of what you did to do this correctly.

-Trying to focus on a per on without have the capturing noise go off. because when ever i did a picture and it didn't come out right and had to take another one the main person would be nervous and wouldn't let me take the photo.

3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography?
- I would ask the teacher if i can sit at her desk for a while so the kids would think i left but i didn't and i would move around without people dying to watch me.

4. What things would you do the same?
-Asking teachers permissions and make the kids feel comfortable with me and have a bubbly personality again!

5. When you go out with your next set of prompts, which rule do you think will be the easiest to achieve?
-Framing will probably be my easiest rule but only depending on were we go, but most likely framing

6. Which rule do you think will be the hardest to capture?
-Rules of third , it was harder for me like i said kids would tell the person i taking the photo and stuff then they would get all nervous

7. What rule are you still not totally clear on and what can you do to figure out what that rule is?
-Probably balance it took me awhile to find that photo.

Academic photo shot preview

This image represents fill the fame because its shows the whole experiment and what interaction the the teacher and the students are having. The reason this is fill the frame is because the experiments shows in the whole frame.

This photo represents action and emotion because these  people are helping the homeless, the emotion shows on their faces they are happy that people are helping them and are grateful for what they are receiving because its better than nothing . The action is the people helping the home less.
This tells the best story because the girl is actually paying attention in her work and she is getting it done. The angle on this shot is what tells its ll you can tell she is really focused.

Academic

1. Why did you pick this photo?
I chose this photo because the photo shows that this person loves to read and so do i  and how he is zoned in to the book because he is sitting the the middle of the  floor in the library
2. What rules of photography are evident in the photo?
Its framing because the book cases are closing in on the person and adds depth to it with the color

avoiding merges

i chose this photo because the photographer put everything thats going on in the photo in stead of the main focus

Lines

this photo represents lines because of the lines on the flag

Rules of thirds

this photo represents the rules of thirds because the main focus isn't directly in the middle

Framing

the photo represents framing because the smoke frames the towers

Avoiding Mergers

this represents avoiding mergers because its focuses on one thing without any distractions

Balance

this represents balance because the towers are equal and is an example of symmetrical

simplicity

this picture is simplicity because you can tell some thing is happening in the back and its simple
