- 3. What makes the autofocus of the Canon 5D Mark III better than that of the 6D?
- The EOS 5D Mark III has a 61 point AF array with up to 41 cross-type AF sensors (depending on the maximum aperture of the lens mounted on the camera). Along with the EOS 1D-X, it has Canon’s most advanced autofocus system.
- The EOS 6D has an eleven point autofocus (AF) array with one cross-type AF sensor in the centre.
- The Auto focus on the 5D is similar to the one of the 1D which is really good. The 6D Auto focus is good, just not as good as the 6D.

basic Light Set Ups
Butterfly:The light is higher and its brighten ups the face and the shadows go underneath the chin, but the enfaces on the face and not the body. Also use a reflector brightens up the face also giving a soft look.
Loop: You have a key light and fill light on both sides of the face, made by creating a soft shadow on the nose and their checks, Requires at least two lights
Rembrandt: It puts light and shadow on the face, Use to Create a sense of mystery, Drama. You can use this in just one key light, but its helpful to you a fill light so its not two-face.
Split: The key light is moved farther on the side of the subject or slightly behind the subject depending on the angle of the subject.Split CreatesTwo-faced splitting the face with light on one side and shadow on the other. You will use this in dramatic, musician, magazines, shows two different personalities.
Broad and Short: The right side (broad) is lightAnd the left (short) is dim. this type of lighting can make the subject seem wider.Probably not used when someone already has a wider face. One light is used but a second light softens the shadow.
Butterfly:Brightens up the face with now shadows.
Key light (main light):Brightens up the eyes nose checks and lips
Hair Light: a light places slightly behind the model to add highlights and separate the subject and the background
Background Light: is used to separate the model and the background so the model stands out more.

*with automatic flash metering, the flash illumination is measured after the shutter button is pressed and the flash output is adjust accordingly.
*Every SLR camera with a mechanical shutter box has a maximum flash sync speed.
*Harsh lighting washed out subjects and red eye can be eliminated by using diffusers and light bouncing.
*Its s possible to change the order of when he flash fires using " Rear Curtain Sync".
