A photographer must consider lighting and whether to shoot indoor or out doors. what re you going to shoot. consider the back ground and depth of the image with the subject. and not to over think it.
Use Aperture mode because it will create the depth in the image and sets the shutter speed to set how much light comes in to the picture.
Using a small aperture increases the exposure time
i can try and use apples and vases at home.
i will most likely use a dark back drop to bring out the colors in the image or even a bright back ground probable both to see which one comes out best.
